2025 SCHEDULE AND PLAYOFF FORMAT

The following outlines the playoff format and important dates for the North York Knights Hockey Association.

Key Dates

Super Bowl Sunday – February 9^th , 2025 – No games for U16/17/18 division.
Family Day weekend – February 15^th and 16^th, 2025 – Practices on Feb. 15^th and Exhibition Games on Feb. 16^th .
March Break: Saturday, March 8^th and Sunday March 9^th , 2025 – No games or practices. Weekend off.
Final Hockey Jamboree weekend: April 5^th and 6^th (final playoff games).

The games are listed on the Knights’ website (under the Regular Season dropdown menu and Playoffs dropdown menu) and on Win/Lose/Tie.

Playoffs

In the 6 team divisions – (U10/11 and U16/U17/U18)

Round-robin games to determine rankings will start on February 9, 2025 (on February 2, 2025 for U16/17/18 because they do not play on Super Bowl Sunday).
After the round-robin, there will be a 2-game Quarter-Finals where winners will be determined by total goals scored. There will then be a single Semi-Final game amongst the 4 remaining teams; this will be followed by a single Final game to determine the Winner and Runner-Up and a single Consolation game to determine the 3^rd place. The schedule is set out below.
Games are listed on the Knights website until March 23, 2025. Once the teams are set for the Quarter-Finals, the website schedule will be updated.

In the 4 team divisions – (U9, U12/13 and U14/U15)

There will be a double round-robin to determine rankings starting on February 2, 2025.
After the round-robin, there will be a 2-game Semi-Finals where winners will be determined by total goals scored. This will be followed by a single Final game to determine the Winner and Runner-Up and a single Consolation game to determine the 3^rd place.
Games are listed on the Knights website until March 23, 2025. Once the teams are set for the Quarter-Finals, the website schedule will be updated.
