TREASURER SOUGHT FOR THE KNIGHTS EXECUTIVE
The Knights are seeking a volunteer for the Treasurer position starting September 2017. An Executive Member of the NYKHA Board of Directors, the Treasurer also sits on the Finance Committee.
The Treasurer is responsible for the financial transactions of the Association. The Treasurer’s involvement occurs primarily during the hockey season and the time commitment is approximately 10 hours/month. The Treasurer works closely with the Registrar/Administrator, Referee in Chief and the Head Timekeeper who provide information/requests regarding the weekly financial transactions required to operate the Association. The NYKHA uses QuickBooks software to assist in bookkeeping and the preparation of financial statements.
Responsibilities of the Treasurer include:
- Reconciliation of the monthly bank statement
- Payment of fees to referees and timekeepers – 4/season
- Processing accounts receivable/payable
- Preparing a year-end statement for the Board, Finance Committee and Accountants of the NYKHA
