VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT
The Knights are looking for several volunteers willing to support the NYK Hockey Association in important off-ice activities.
Equipment Manager
The Equipment Manager will be responsible for the distribution in September and the collection in April of the Association’s goaltender equipment needed by the lower level (Tyke- PeeWee) teams in the House League division. The Manager will also be responsible in the Spring for any required equipment repairs and to notify the Association’s Executive on the need to replace equipment for the next season.

Convenor for and Minor Atom/Atom Division
Convenors are assigned to oversee each division from September to the end of April. Any matter that requires a review by the Knights Executive must first be presented through the divisional Convenor. The responsibilities of a divisional Convenor are outlined below:
- Oversees the activities of the division, including the player “draft” in September, competitive balancing activities, recommendations to the Executives for divisional tiering in December (if appropriate) and special events, such as divisional tournaments and Finals day
- Convenes a meeting of all Head and Assistant Coaches in the division to promote the Association’s overall objective of ensuring an enjoyable hockey experience for all players
- Ensures all Head Coaches within the division have a copy of the current NYKHA Rules and Policies, as well as a copy of amendments to the rules, if any, pertaining to the current season
- Acts as a main point of communication between the NYKHA Executives and the divisional coaches throughout the season
- Presents any matters or issues arising from the division to the NYKHA Executive for discussion, review and adjudication
- Represents the NYKHA in dealing with any incident meriting attention which may occur at the arena
- Reviews automatic suspensions assessed by the Game Officials and communicates any matters relating to a disciplinary review

Banquet Co-ordinator
The Banquet Co-ordinator would be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the annual House League banquet for the Tykes/Minor Novice to Bantam divisions. This would include booking the venue, arranging for acquiring a number of door/raffle prizes for each division, arranging the delivery of the Esso medals of achievement and the Tim Horton giveaways, coordinating the pizza deliveries and ensuring the set-up and clearing of the banquet hall. This is an end of year role that would involve some time commitment in the early part of April and on the Saturday when the banquet takes place.
