MANDATORY MEETING FOR COACHES AND CONVENORS
The North York Knights will hold their pre-season House League coaches and convenors meeting on Sunday Sept 11th , 2016 at Armour Heights Community Centre (2140 Avenue Road south of Wilson Avenue – parking available). The Coach and Convenor meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
Please note that attendance is mandatory if you wish to be a House League coach. Anyone who wishes to coach with the Knights MUST complete or have completed the ‘Speak Out’ course or the equivalent ‘Respect In Sport’ online program. Completion of one of these courses is a Hockey Canada requirement. If you would like to coach but have not completed either the Speak Out course or the Respect in Sport program, please go to the GTHL website and complete the online clinic (link below).
Anyone wishing to coach in the upcoming season must complete the attached form for a new police reference check, regardless of having submitted a police check form in prior years to the North York Knights Hockey Association. We have attached the new form that must be completed and submitted to us along with a photocopy of your valid driver’s licence. This police form is to be PRINTED ON LEGAL SIZE PAPER. The police form WILL NOT be accepted on letter size page. DO NOT SEND YOUR COMPLETED FORM TO THE REGISTRAR’S E-MAIL ADDRESS. THE FORM MUST BE PROVIDED IN ITS ORIGINAL FORMAT TO US at the meeting on September 11th. If you are unable to attend the meeting we will make further arrangements to obtain the ORIGINAL form from you. The reference check program with Toronto Police Service is completely confidential.

Coaches can start checking in and dropping off their completed police reference check form at 5:30 p.m. in the main foyer of the Community Centre.
